Return Policy & Terms of Sale

All returns and exchanges must occur within 30 days of receipt of merchandise.

Returns must be in original, new, uninstalled condition with all parts and packaging. Phillips Lighting will inspect the merchandise at the time of return to confirm its condition.

Fixtures that have been installed or altered are not eligible for a refund.

Other items that are not eligible for return are:

  • Final sale Floor Sample & Clearance items
  • Custom orders
  • Made to order items
  • Fixtures that have been installed
  • Large orders (single fixtures over $3,000, or orders totaling over $3,000 on multiple quantities of the same fixture)
  • Shipping charges are not refundable

New items sold from Phillips Lighting’s in-store stock or showroom display are eligible for full refund via your method of payment.

Full store credit can be issued for returns that are eligible and returned brand new in the box.

If you do not wish to receive store credit for your return, a return shipping fee of 20% is applied to Special Ordered items that are new in the box for refund via your original method of payment. This fee covers our shipping & handling charges back to the manufacturer.

Please note that customer is responsible for all return shipping charges to ship an item back to our Modesto, CA warehouse or you may deliver it directly to our showroom.

Many items listed as “in stock” on our website are available in the manufacturer’s warehouse stock. This means the product will ship to you quickly, but it is not an item stocked in our Modesto, CA store. Please call or email the store any time if you would like to check to see if an item is in our local warehouse inventory.

All fixtures have a minimum of one-year manufacturer’s warranty against defects from the date of purchase. Some fixtures have longer warranties, depending on the manufacturer. If an item is defective, please notify Phillips Lighting immediately and we will order a replacement of that same item as quickly as possible if it is under warranty. Please note that the manufacturer’s warranty does not cover labor or shipping costs.  Phillips Lighting & Home is not liable for labor or installation costs.

Cancelled orders caught prior to product shipment from the manufacturer incur no penalty fees.
